Daniel Power is the Founder and Publisher of the 2007 Lucie Award-winning publishing company powerHouse Books. He has done sales and marketing work for Aperture, Artforum, and Parkett. He co-founded Distributed Art Publishers in 1990 and started powerHouse Books in 1995. Power launched the powerHouse Gallery in 2003, and in 2006 he moved the gallery, bookstore, and publishing company into a large, two-story space in DUMBO, now the powerHouse Arena. Since its founding, powerHouse Books has published and distributed more than 500 photographic and illustrated books. powerHouse Books also incorporates an artists' agency and publishes a magazine.
Frank Evers is the Managing Director of the VII Photo Agency. Prior to joining VII, he spent 10 years in the video game world running game production studios. His games have generated over $1 billion in sales. He started in the movie business as a Management Associate for Sony Pictures Entertainment, and later produced the cult classic film Swimming with Sharks. Evers is married to the photographer Lauren Greenfield, with whom he has partnered on her work since they both graduated from Harvard in 1987. They have two sons, Noah and Gabriel, and are based in Venice, CA.
Tim Barber is a photographer, curator, publisher, designer, and former photo editor for Vice magazine. Originally from Amherst, Massachusetts, Barber studied photography in Vancouver before relocating to New York City. He currently runs the online gallery tinyvices.com, which has featured the work of artists like Richard Kern, Peter Sutherland, Ryan McGinley, and Boogie. Its corresponding physical show, tinyvices, has toured all over the world, from Proyectos Monclova in Mexico City to colette in Paris, and continues to be an innovative showcase for new work.

W.M. Hunt - Bill Hunt - is a New York-based collector, curator and consultant, a champion of photography. He is partnered with Sarah Hasted in their outstanding gallery, HASTED HUNT<www.hastedhunt.com>. His photography "Collection Dancing Bear" has been on tour in Arles, Lausanne, and Amsterdam. Thames & Hudson will publish a book on in the fall of 2007. Hunt produces the “Your Picture …” panels for PDN, he teaches at the School of Visual Arts and he serves on the boards of the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund, AIPAD, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock.
Acclaimed photographer Lauren Greenfield is considered a preeminent chronicler of youth culture as a result of her groundbreaking projects Girl Culture and Fast Forward. Her photographs have been widely exhibited and are in many museum collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the International Center of Photography. She was named by American Photo as one of the 25 most influential photographers working today.
Their story goes back to 1991 when the Snorri Bros started their career in their native Iceland with commercial and artistic photography which eventually led them to international success. They were easily intrigued by the world of film, music and video and before they knew they were directing music videos and commercials. Their repertoire includes work for clients from all over the world and many different disciplines, ranging from communications to fashion to the automotive industry. Artistically the Snorri Bros are always looking for that stunning, beautiful moment and how it can serve the story being told. They're also very conscious of the big picture and how it all comes together in the end.
Jody Quon has been the photography director at New York magazine since 2004. Previously she was the deputy photo editor at The New York Times Magazine.
Greg Clayman is Executive Vice President of Digital Distribution & Business Development for MTV Networks (MTVN). In his role, Clayman manages digital business development across MTV Networks, working closely with its brands to develop new opportunities for distribution of
digital content and to strike deals with online partners. Based in the company's New York City headquarters, Clayman reports to Mika Salmi,
President, Global Digital Media, MTVN.
Elisabeth Biondi joined the staff of The New Yorker in 1996, shortly after photography was introduced to the magazine and as it began to play a more prominent editorial role. As Visuals Editor she has helped shape the look of the publication by establishing a group of staff photographers, commissioning both ‘Masters’ and emerging talent, and utilizing portrait, fine art, and documentary photography. She continues to build the magazine's reputation for its use of photography, which is much acclaimed and has received numerous awards.
Meredith Birkett is a senior multimedia producer for special projects at MSNBC.com, a general news web site seen by over 30 million unique users each month. Birkett has worked at MSNBC.com for six years. In this role, Birkett works as a liaison with freelancers, picture agencies, staff multimedia journalists and wire services to create multimedia content across all sections of MSNBC.com. Birkett also produces popular multimedia features such as The Week in Pictures and the Year in Pictures. During her seven years at MSNBC.com, Birkett's projects have earned recognition from organizations such as the Online News Association, Pictures of the Year International and the National Press Photographers Association.
Charles Melcher is the founder and president of Melcher Media, an award-winning book publisher and packager that has conceived and produced projects for a diverse group of clients from HBO to the Smithsonian Institution. Since it was established in 1994, Melcher Media has created more than 100 titles, totaling more than 10 million books in print, in categories such as pop culture, media tie-in, environment, and photography. Examples of these groundbreaking books are: Wicked: The Grimmerie, The Sopranos: The Complete Book, An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore, and Fast Forward: Growing Up in the Shadow of Hollywood by Lauren Greenfield. Other noted photographers that Melcher Media has published include: Sante D' Orazio, Andrea Modica, Danny Lyon, Joel Sternfeld, and Lynn Davis. Charles Melcher is also a photography collector and curator.
Bjarke Myrthu is executive editor at Magnum Photos in New York City where he has co-founded a new department called Magnum In Motion. His primary task is to develop and deploy new concepts for visual storytelling with multimedia and interaction. He also teaches at the Danish School of Journalism and Center for Journalism and Further education in Denmark and at various US Universities.
Benjamin Trigano is the founder and owner of M+B in Los Angeles. Established in 2004, the gallery is dedicated to presenting the work of emerging to established artists. M+B has grown into a well-respected venue for contemporary photography, participating in national and international art fairs throughout the year. Artists represented by the gallery include Martin Denker, Alison Jackson, Mona Kuhn, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Erwin Olaf and Massimo Vitali. In addition to contemporary work, Mr. Trigano also shows work that focuses on seminal periods in American culture from the 50s through the 70s. He was the first to show the work of the most well-respected photographer of 60's surfing, LeRoy Grannis, and the work of Gonzo journalist, Hunter S. Thompson. Benjamin Trigano does portfolio reviews, lectures, public forums and panels across the United States. In 2006, Mr. Trigano was named a recipient of the honorable Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres title, which is given to a select number of individuals in recognition of their significant contribution to the arts.
Meagan Ziegler-Haynes is the Director of Photography at PHOTOSHELTER, where she leads photographer recruitment for The PhotoShelter Collection. In this role, she enjoys the good fortune of seeing fresh, diverse content submitted from thousands of photographers around the world. Meagan started in the business of photography as an agent with Z Photographic, where she worked with Dana Lixenberg, Stefan Ruiz and Larry Sultan. Meagan also founded and operated her own photo agency, MZH photo, with Darcy Hemley, Mark Heithoff and Alex Tehrani. Prior to joining PHOTOSHELTER, Meagan served as the photo editor at Vibe Vixen magazine. Meagan studied photography at Rhode Island School of Design, and now divides her time between Nice, France and NYC.
